FAQs

Good questions

The things people usually ask before their first session. Anything else, just message Max.

How much space do I need?

About the size of a yoga mat plus a stride either side. A living room, conservatory, garage or garden all work well.

Do I need any equipment?

No. For home and park sessions Max brings everything. If you'd like some kit of your own for the days in between, he'll recommend what's worth buying.

Can I train with Max in a gym?

Yes. Gym sessions are available, just get in touch and Max will talk you through the options.

What happens if it rains?

Outdoor sessions can switch to your home or a covered space, or move to another day. Light rain usually carries on, so bring a jacket.

I'm a complete beginner. Is that OK?

Absolutely. Every programme starts from where you are today, with a movement check in your first session and a pace that suits you.

What's the cancellation policy?

Give at least 24 hours' notice and your session moves at no cost. Later cancellations are charged in full.

Is Max qualified and insured?

Yes. Max is a Level 3 qualified personal trainer with public liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.

Meet Max

A lifetime on court (and still smiling)

Max has been swinging a racket since he was big enough to hold one. He started out playing with his brother, now also a coach, and from that very first hit he was hooked.

Over 20 years later, he's turned that passion into a career helping others discover (and rediscover) their love for the sport.

He's coached everyone from mini red beginners barely taller than the net to adults fine-tuning their topspin. He plays in Division 1 in the West Midlands, has travelled to Wimbledon and the US Open, and still finds time to train, watch and live tennis every day.

More than a coach, Max is your motivator, mentor and mate: the one cheering when you nail that serve.
